Huawei Mate X2 Poster Confirms Internal Folding Solution

Huawei officially announced this week that it will hold a new product launch conference on February 22. And what’s more important, at this event, it will release the new generation of folding screen smartphone Huawei Mate X2.

Recently, Huawei has further brought more details about the machine. From the international promo poster, we can see that the phone will adopt an internal folding solution and come with a lens design jointly made with Leica. Combined with the previous patents of Huawei’s new folding screen smartphone, we can assume the machine will greatly reduce the sense of crease.

Huawei’s latest official screen plan details show that the phone is basically the same as the previously disclosed news. The new Huawei Mate X2 folding screen smartphone will change the previous Mate X and Mate Xs’ flip-out folding solution. Instead it will use the latest inward folding approach. The folding solution is expected to completely eliminate the creases on the previous folding screen models.

Among them, a flexible screen will be used on the inside of the folding screen, and a hard glass screen on the outside. In other aspects, the screen suppliers are Samsung and BOE. It will use an 8.01-inch in-folding main display with a resolution of 2480×2200. The external secondary screen will have a size of 6.45 inches with a resolution of 2700×1160.


The machine will sport Huawei’s latest Kirin 9000 processor. The phone will also feature a quad-camera of 50MP + 16MP + 12MP + 8MP. It also includes a periscope telephoto lens and supports 10x hybrid optical zoom. In addition, the machine has a built-in 4400mAh battery and the body size is 161.8×145.8×8.2mm.

The new Huawei Mate X2 folding screen smartphone will be officially unveiled on February 22.
